“YOU MADE IT REAL”
Design to unify the experience
Graduating from a University is such an unforgettable experience which will remain to one’s memory for a long time. However, when this task was given, there was no unified design system throughout multiple communication points. Each pieces were designed separately every time.
“I saw this as a great opportunity to impress many different level of the audiences—graduating students, families and guests, faculty with VCUarts brand experience”
Park said. Park used red which is a unique brand color for VCUarts as a key design element to unify this experience. This spoke official language as well as creativity part of the school. And the most importantly, park came up with the copy idea, ‘You made it real’. This is a sentence that wraps up the VCU’s fundraising campaign, Make it real, which every University people or local people would be very familiar. This simple sentence got elegantly embossed on Neenah Plike for the cover.
